Getting Started
Preparing for Your First Session
A short, practical guide to setting up your space, your schedule, and your expectations before we meet.
Your intake appointment runs two hours. It is longer than you might expect, and that length is deliberate — we spend real time on your history and your goals before any hypnosis begins. Here is how to arrive ready.
Set up your space
- Choose a room where you will not be interrupted for the full session.
- Sit in a supportive chair or couch — comfortable, but not your bed.
- Silence your phone and close other tabs and notifications.
- Have water nearby, and a blanket if you tend to run cool.
Protect the time around it
Do not schedule anything demanding immediately afterward, and never plan to drive straight from a session. Deep relaxation lingers. Give yourself fifteen unhurried minutes on the other side.
Bring your actual goal
Not the polished version — the real one. The clearer and more specific you can be about what you want to be different, the more precisely we can shape the suggestions we use.
You do not need to arrive fixed, organized, or certain. You only need to arrive.
Safety reminder: never listen to hypnotherapy recordings or take part in a session while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that requires your full alertness. Hypnotherapy supports wellness; it does not replace medical or psychological care.
